  • Nearly 14,500 experts in the Dutch Experts site!
The Netherlands Experts Site provides an overview of nearly 14,500 scholars and their expertise. These data are from the Dutch Research Database - NOD. For researchers, it is possible via an online form to register their expertise for this database. They can also modify their own data by using a change form, that can be found at the personal records.
This information is also included in the scientific portal NARCIS.

  • On the NARCIS website: Where do I find the NARCIS widget?
A widget is a piece of programming code that users can embed into a website or blog to perform a specific function. For the NARCIS widget, please see www.narcis.nl.
The NARCIS widget allows you to display Open Access and other publications, research projects, individuals or datasets in NARCIS dynamically on your blog or website. You will find the NARCIS widget by clicking the button Save search results. You can then copy the widget code to your website or blog.

  • Scientific and scholarly information easier to find thanks to NARCIS
The NARCIS science/scholarship portal has been renewed and improved. NARCIS is a portal operated by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). It provides access to information about scientists and scholars, the institutions where they work, and their publications. The portal also provides access to full text publications by all the Dutch universities and a large number of research institutes, including those that fall within the remit of the Academy and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

  • Now 11,000 experts in de Dutch Experts Site!
The in May 2006 developed Dutch Experts Site that offers an overview of expertise of Dutch scientists has been increased to 11,000 records. The information is part of the Dutch Research Database (NOD). Data concerning your expertise can be submitted through an online form of the Dutch Research Database (NOD). You can also change your data by using a changing form, that you can find at your personal record.

  • What information can be found on a NARCIS personal page?
In NARCIS the personal page lists the researcher's work address and any current or recently concluded research projects, as well any open access and other publications he or she has authored. Because every personal page has a unique URL, the researcher in question can place it on his or her own website, for example.
Many personal pages also list the researcher's Digital Author Identifier (DAI). This number, which is assigned to every university or Royal Academy researcher, makes it possible to integrate information from different databases and repositories, regardless of how the researcher's name, initials or surname are spelled. See for example in NARCIS the personal page of Prof.Dr. W.H.J. Meeus.
